More fog and frost Not much change seiten=5 abk=focus
Saturday
Cloudy and outbreaks of light rain will clear north western parts of Scotland this morning then fair and dry. Elsewhere it's a dry day with more dense fog, freezing fog and frost. Some drizzle in places too. Much of central and southern England may see the fog stick through the afternoon while the best of the sunshine again may in the west. Look for maximums of 3to 9C but remaining around freezing in the fogy areas.
Saturday night
For the bulk of the United Kingdom it remains cold with widespread and dense fog and patchy freezing fog this evening and overnight. Some patchy drizzle in places may result in some icy patches as well. Lows at lows of 0 to -3C inland, +5C coasts.
Christmas Eve
Northern Ireland, western parts of Scotland, Wales and England should have the best of the day's dry sunniest weather with morning fog dispersing. But for the bulk of the country it's more of the same with lots of fog and frost. Again the fog could linger across central and southern England. Perhaps not as cold tonight in for East Anglia and Kent where more cloud is possible. Maximums of 4 to 9C.
Christmas Day
Breezy and mostly cloudy across western Scotland and Northern Ireland with some drizzle in places through the day. Little change across England and Wales with a good deal of low cloud, dense fog and frost in the morning. The fog and cloud tends to persist into the afternoon with the best of the sunshine around the western coasts and across south west England along with western Wales. Tops at 4 to 9C.
Boxing Day
Dry and bright across Scotland and Northern Ireland with some sunshine. Western parts and Wales will see fog patches clearing as well. The rest of England and Wales sees dense fog through out the morning, perhaps breaking in the afternoon to some hazy sunshine for most places. Rain spreads into Northern Ireland and western Scotland tonight. Milder in the cloudier west but cold and frosty in the east tonight. Tops at 4 to 6C but up to 8C in the west.
