Misty across most parts of the United Kingdom this morning with a good deal of low cloud with some patchy drizzle expected across central and southern England. Best of any sunshine will be across north eastern parts of Scotland. In the afternoon still largely cloudy most areas with some drizzle across western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Expect maximums of 4 to 5C for Scotland, 5 to 8C for Northern Ireland, England and Wales.
Overnight
Continued cloudy and misty then for this evening and tonight with some patchy drizzle likely in places. Expect a frost and some dense fog where any lengthy cloud breaks occur, mainly across parts of eastern parts of Scotland and eastern England. Lows at 0 to-1C but generally 4 to 6C for most places.
Wednesday
Cloudy and breezy with rain into Northern Ireland in the morning. This spreads across all but East Anglia and south east England in the afternoon with some snow at first over northern Scotland. Light rain this evening clears most parts tonight. Milder in the south and west with highs up to 12C but 3 to 5C for Scotland.
Thursday
Apart from some patchy rain in the south east of England and north west of Scotland, it's a largely dry day with a good deal of cloud and some sunshine at times. Rain spills in across Northern Ireland and northern Scotland overnight. Highs of 6 to 12C.
Friday
Rather cloudy with a good deal of dry weather today for the country though a few spots of light rain are possible in the south east and across Scotland. It turns windy across western Britain through the evening and night with more persistent rain for Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Highs of 7 to 12C.
