Very windy and wet with outbreaks of rain to spread east into all parts of the United Kingdom through the morning. Winds will be strong, gusting to gale force in the north and west. In the afternoon it remains wet and windy for all areas and the rain looks heavier across western Scotland, Wales and north west England. A milder day today with maximums of 10 to 13C.
Wednesday Night
Continued windy this evening and as the winds switch to the north west it will be turning cold from the north tonight. Rain clears England and Wales this evening with heavy showers and rain across Scotland into the night. Lows at 5 to 8C.
Thursday
A colder, blustery day expected with a mixture of sunshine and showers for many areas, though East Anglia and the south east of England may stay completely dry with the best of the sunshine. Another area of rain will move into Northern Ireland and Scotland this evening then this spreads into most areas tonight. Highs of 5 to 8C but feeling colder in a brisk north west wind.
Friday
Generally dry for the south Midlands, East Anglia and the south east of England. Wetter elsewhere with outbreaks of rain, with a heavier band of rain across southern Scotland and Northern Ireland. Overnight more rain is expected in the far south of England and across Scotland. Highs of 8 to 11C.
Saturday
Rain clears the south east this morning then a dry day for central and eastern parts of England with some sunshine. Rain spills in across the western half of Britain in the afternoon then into all areas in the evening. Highs of 8 to 11C.
