Friday
Some heavy bursts of rain across Scotland this morning. Most of the rain affecting more western areas, but it will be pushing eastwards through the day. Over much of England and Wales there will be broken cloud and a few bright spells, but cloud increases through Wales and northern England bringing some showery bursts of rain. Brighter for Scotland and Ireland with sunny spells and an occasionally shower. In the afternoon the rain clears from Scotland to leave sunny spells and heavy showers in the west. Further showers in western Scotland and western Ireland. A band of cloud and showery rain passes across the Midlands, East Anglia and southern England. Breezy in the north. Temperatures reaching 6C in central Scotland, 11C in the far southwest of England.

Friday night
A breezy night to come. There will be a few showers affecting the western coasts of Ireland and Scotland, as well as Scotland. These showers could be heavy at times, driven on by the wind. Inland, away from the western coasts it should be drier, although an odd shower can't be ruled out anywhere. By the end of the night thicker cloud and heavier rain will be reaching southern Ireland and southwest England. A touch of ground frost in central and northern areas with lows at 3C, no lower than 7C on western coasts.

Sunday
Windy for most parts of the British Isles and Ireland through the course of the day with gusts to 50mph. Southeast England and East Anglia are likely to be dry with some sunny spells at first, although cloud increasing through the day. For most of Wales, western and northern England the day will be wet with heavy bursts of rain and a risk of flooding over central Wales. Further periods of heavy rain to come through Scotland, although this turning to showers over Ireland and western Scotland later. Highs near 9 to 12C.

Monday
A weak ridge of high pressure bringing a welcome respite for all on Monday. There will b some early morning showers around the coasts, but these clearing to leave sunny spells through the morning. Little change in the afternoon with most places dry. However, cloud is going to be increasing over Ireland, western Scotland and Wales, with rain into Ireland, then spreading to the other parts of the region by dark. The winds picking up to gale force in the west too.
