Sunday
An unsettled day on Sunday with damp conditions for many. The morning sees a band of rain crossing northern England. At the same time cloud and rain, with increasing winds will be moving into Ireland, Wales and southwest England. Western Scotland could have a few showers, but eastern areas should be dry with sunny spells, as will be northern England. In the afternoon rain, some heavy affects most of Ireland, Wales and much of England. Gales may become sever across Wales and southwest England. Eastern parts of England and Scotland may stay drier with some brighter spells here. Highs at 7C in Scotland, 12C in southwest England.
Sunday night
A spell of gale force winds and heavy rain affecting central and eastern parts of the British Isles at first overnight. The rain eventually clears the east during the early hours of the morning. Drier weather then follows from the west, although there will also be some showers on western coasts. The winds easing after midnight. Temperatures down to 3 to 6C.
Monday
Monday morning looks to be better for most of the British Isles. There will be some sunny spells and it should be dry, although the exception will be Shetland and Orkney where snow showers may occur. Cloud increases over southern Ireland and southwest England, bringing rain here by midday. This then heralds increasing winds and cloud, with drizzle, for much of western England, Wales and Scotland, the winds reaching severe gale force in western Ireland and western Scotland in the evening. Temperatures around 8 to 12C.
Tuesday
A wet and windy day across England and Wales. Heavy periods of rain in the west of Wales and southwest England. A drier area of weather over southeast Ireland and the far north of England. For western Ireland and Scotland there will be heavy showers, although eastern Scotland should be drier and brighter. Temperatures at 8 to 14C, coldest in the north.
