Monday
An east-west split this morning. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will fall across the western half of Britain this morning with eastern parts of England and Scotland generally dry and bright. It's then a wet and windy afternoon to come as the rain in the west turns heavier as it spreads to all areas. The milder south westerly winds will gust to gale force in the west and along the channel coasts. Highs of 8 to 10C in north, 10 to 13C in the milder south.
Monday Night
Wet and windy with spells of locally heavy rain for much of the United Kingdom this evening. The rain clears Northern Ireland and western Scotland during the course of the night but elsewhere it will be staying wet with some heavy rain across southern Scotland and northern England. A very mild night with lows of 8 to 12C.
Tuesday
Windy with rain clearing to showers across Scotland this morning, a few wintry over the Highlands. Rain and drizzle through England and Wales will linger for a large parts of the day but should clear from northern England later in the afternoon, then expect a few showers around Irish Sea coasts. A dry, sunny day to come for Northern Ireland. The area of rain lingers across Wales and the southern half of England into the evening and night. Highs of 8 to 13C.
Wednesday
Turning colder from the north today. Outbreaks of rain across England and Wales may become mixed with snow over the northern hills as it clears away this morning. The rain clears south east England by mid afternoon with much of England and Wales mostly sunny. Snow showers are expected across Scotland with rain into Northern Ireland this evening and this spreads into all parts in the night. Highs of 3 to 7C but 11C across southern England.
