Sunday
A breezy morning across southern parts of the British Isles, with some sunny spells around for much of central and southern England. For the west and north showers will be falling, with most of these affecting north Wales and northern England where they will be falling as snow over the hills; lighter winds in the north. Through Scotland showers will be heavy at times and they are going to be wintry for many, especially on the hills. During this afternoon little change through the Midlands and southern England, mainly dry here with bright spells but feeling cold. More persistent rain, sleet and snow through northwest England and northern Wales, rain extending into central Ireland. The showers in Scotland will become less frequent inland, although snow showers will continue around the coasts and again these will be heavy. Temperatures peaking at 3C in the north of Scotland, 8C in southern England.

Eastern parts of the country may well see 2 to 4cm of snow in places by the end of the night. Wintry showers around the coasts of Ireland. Windy in Scotland and Ireland.
