Windy and cold across northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland this morning with snow showers across northeast Scotland and Northern Ireland. Cloudy through central and southern England along with Wales with some rain, sleet and snow. Most of this should clear by mid morning then dry and sunny. Windy for all parts then in the afternoon with snow showers persisting across the eastern half of Scotland with a few around North Sea coasts. Best of the dry, sunny weather will be in the wet. Feeling below freezing in the brisk north east wind with highs at 0 to 4C with 6C across south west and south east England.

Tonight
Windy this evening with outbreaks of snow across northern Scotland and Northern Ireland and heavy snow showers across eastern Scotland spreading into north east England this evening. Overnight the snow showers will then push down into East Anglia, south east England and western Wales with a light accumulation possible. Lows of 0 to -4C.

Tuesday
Windy and feeling bitterly cold with snow showers across western and eastern parts of Britain. Inland areas looks dry with lots of crisp, wintry sunshine. In the afternoon it turns somewhat milder in the west with rain and sleet into Northern Ireland and south west England. Further snow showers, some heavy will affect northern Scotland and eastern parts of Scotland and England. Overnight there is a risk of moderate snow fall across the West Country with further snow showers around North Sea coasts and across Northern Ireland. Highs of -1 to 4C for most areas.

Wednesday
Snow and heavy snow showers are likely to affect The West Country, northern and eastern Scotland and all of eastern England, dry and sunny elsewhere. Western parts of Britain should be fine and mostly sunny into the afternoon. Snow showers, some heavy across eastern parts of England and Scotland may penetrate a bit further into central areas with a few centimetres of accumulation possible across north east England. Snow showers will become confined to the eastern coasts of England tonight with a widespread, sharp frost in central and western areas. Highs of 0 to 4C.
