Damp and cloudy Windy in the north seiten=4 abk=focus
Sunday
A cloudy and damp start to the morning over most of the UK and Ireland. There will be some spells of light rain and drizzle, most of these affecting Scotland, northern England, Ireland and the north of Wales, but just about anywhere could see some. As the day progresses there will be very little change in conditions. Further outbreaks of rain, mostly affecting northern areas, and perhaps becoming heavier in the west of Scotland. Staying windy through northern areas, but these should ease in the afternoon. In the far south of England a few breaks may appear in the cloud and these allowing some sunny spells to come through. Temperatures peaking at around 7 to 9C overall.
Sunday night
Staying cloudy through this evening and overnight for most parts of the country. There will be further spells of drizzle and light rain, most of these occurring to the north and east. It will be windward facing hills and coasts that see most of the drizzle, so that includes most of western and northern Scotland, Northern Ireland, north Wales and northwest England. Cloud could break through southern Ireland with the risk of a slight frost here. Lows near 6 or 7C in the UK, nearer 2C where skies clear in southern Ireland.
Monday
High pressure building over southern Ireland on Monday. There may be some mist patches here at first, but these will be clearing away and then most of Ireland, western Wales and the far west of Cornwall are likely to have a fine day with plenty of sunshine. There will still be some drizzle in the far north of Scotland, but through England and the rest of Wales the drizzle should fade away through the day; cloud breaking too with bright spells coming through. Temperatures at a mild 8 to 10C.
Tuesday
A morning frost of southern Ireland, Wales and England with a few mist or fog patches. These will be clearing quickly to allow the day to be dry with sunny spells. Stronger winds through Scotland as a front slips southwards, bringing a few heavy bursts of rain to Highland in the morning, but these becoming lighter as the rain edges into Northern Ireland and northern England in the afternoon. Tops at 7 to 10C.
