Cloud and mild Rain in the north seiten=4 abk=focus
Tuesday
High pressure continues to control the weather through today. There will be plenty of cloud around, but this will break in places, with the Midlands, parts of Wales and northeast England most favoured to see some sunny spells. Thicker cloud over Scotland will be bringing some spots of rain, and this will be edging southwards and becoming more persistent in the afternoon. The rain also reaching Northern Ireland through the afternoon, although for most of England, Wales and the rest of Ireland it should be dry. Temperatures at a mild 8 to 10C.
Tuesday night
A breezy, damp evening over northern parts of the UK and Ireland. There will be outbreaks of rain here, with most of this affecting the western parts of Scotland, together with mist and fog on hills and coasts. The rain into Northern Ireland and the far north of England too, although it will be very light and drizzly. Further south it should be a mainly dry night. Cloud should be breaking to the south with clear spells coming through and the temperatures falling fairly quickly in these areas. Lows near 0C in sheltered parts of southern England, 7C through much of Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland.
Wednesday
Lots of cloud again through Wednesday, although high pressure is again going to be in control. Expect further patchy rain through western Scotland and Ireland, whilst the more eastern areas will be drier and brighter. A few mist and fog patches at first over England and Wales, but these soon clearing to leave a dry day with some bright or sunny spells. Mild again at 8 to 11C.
Thursday
Thursday continues where Thursday left off in a rather cloudy fashion for most. Predicting where the cloud will break is difficult, but favoured areas at present include the Midlands and eastern parts of England. There is a chance of some spots of drizzle on the coasts of East Anglia, but overall it is going to be a dry and mild day. Temperatures at 9 to 12C.
