Cloudy north, drizzle Brighter to the south seiten=4 abk=focus

Wednesday
A widespread frost and a few fog patches at first this morning over southern parts of England. These will be clearing away and then most of the morning should stay dry with sunny spells. Cloud will be increasing here this afternoon, although it should stay dry with more spells of sunshine. Much of central and eastern England will have cloudier conditions, although there will be some brighter spells this morning. To the north and west we will find the thickest cloud. There will be periods of light rain and drizzle over much of Scotland, Ireland and northern England. Although mainly light a few moderate bursts of rain cannot be ruled out across western Scotland. Rather breezy to the north, and temperatures rising to between 7 and 10C.

Wednesday night
A cloudy night to come over most of the UK and Ireland. There will be outbreaks of drizzle just about anywhere. However, the highest risk of the drizzle will be to the west of Scotland, northwest England and through parts of Northern Ireland. Further drizzle over southern parts of England later in the night. All the cloud will keep temperatures fairly high with temperatures around 6 to 9C at their lowest.

Thursday
Cloudy through Thursday morning for all parts. There will be spells of drizzle, these again affecting the west of Scotland but also extending through Wales and parts of southwest England. The afternoon sees very little change with lots of cloud and sunshine in short supply. Further spots of drizzle to the west. A mild day at 8 to 12C.

Friday
There are hints that the cloud may well break on Friday. It could be a rather cloudy start to the day though with some drizzle in western Scotland. This should fade away and then through the morning the cloud may begin to dissolve. This could lead to brighter conditions in the afternoon with sunny spells. However, the far north and the far south may still have more cloud. Mild again at 7 to 12C.
