Noticeably colder today as well. Fog in the south will lift as it turns breezy and cloudy with some light rain developing th1s morning across central and southern England and Wales. This should clear all but the south east of England by the end of the morning then from the south east by mid afternoon with most places then fine and dry with sunny spells. Highs of 6 to 8C in the north but a milder 10C in the south.

A fine, dry evening to come across the United Kingdom with well broken cloud. Overnight apart from some light rain in the far north of Scotland, it stays dry and clear and with lighter winds it will turn colder with most areas seeing a frost my morning along with a few fog patches. Lows down to just 6 to 9C.

A lot of cloud for northern Scotland today with some rain which may become a bit heavier towards the afternoon. For the bulk of the United Kingdom high pressure will keep it settled and dry with varying amounts of cloud and sunshine after a rather cold, frosty start. Rain lingers across the northern half of Scotland into the night. Dry, clear and cold elsewhere with a widespread frost. Highs of 10 to 12C.
Sunday
Little overall change is expected in the weather today with northern Scotland wet with spells of rain which turns to snow over the hills in the afternoon. The remainder of the United Kingdom starts sunny, cold and frosty with locally dense fog patches slowly clearing from central and north east England. A fine, sunny afternoon then to come. More fog and frost will redevelop overnight with some snow for the north of Scotland. Highs of 6 to 10C.
