Bright spells, mainly dry Patchy rain for Scotland seiten=4 abk=focus

Sunday
A cold morning through much of England and Wales with some mist and fog patches. These should be clearing away fairly quickly and then the day is going to be dry. There will be some good spells of sunshine for most of England, Wales and Ireland, although this tending to turn hazy in the north as high cloud increases. Through Scotland and Northern Ireland cloud is going to be thicker. There will be outbreaks of light rain as a front moves southwards, turning to snow over higher ground. High temperatures near 10C in southern England in the sunshine, but becoming colder over northern parts of Scotland at 5C.

Sunday night
Some wintry showers over the Highland and along northeastern coasts of Scotland. It will be windier in the far north too and will feel cold in the wind. To the south cloud is going to be increasing as a front moves southwards, although the skies then clear across northern England. A widespread frost with lows generally at -1 to -2C, but a few places may see temperatures as low as -4C.

Monday
A cold day everywhere. Further snow showers along northern and eastern coasts of Scotland, but inland parts of Scotland should be dry with plenty of sunshine. Across southeast England there will be cloud drifting in, and this could produce an odd shower. Generally through the day is going to be fine with plenty of sunshine to come through most areas. The best of the sunshine in northwest England and western parts of Wales. Highs at 3C in the far north, 7C in the south.

Tuesday
Tuesday sees high pressure dominating the weather. There will be a widespread early frost, and this may be severe in places. A few mist and fog patches too, but these should clear fairly quickly and then the day is going to be fine with plenty of sunny spells. Apart from a few snow showers in the far east of Scotland all places should be dry. Tops near 3 to 7C, so feeling chilly once again.
