Windy along the channel coast this morning. Heavy showers will fall across Northern Ireland, south west England and Wales. The rest of the country will be cloudy with rain. Still a good deal of cloud for most areas during the afternoon with showers or some light rain. An area of heavier rain will lie across northern parts of Scotland. High temperatures of 6 to 10C.
Overnight
Heavy rain persists across the far north of Scotland into Shetland this evening and tonight. Still light rain this evening across much of the United Kingdom Overnight it tends to dry up across south west England, Northern Ireland and Wales. Lows at 5 to 8C in the south, 0 to 2C for northern Scotland.
Tuesday
Heavy rain this morning in the north of Scotland turns patchy in the afternoon. Most other areas will be dry this morning while another area of rain spreads into Devon and Cornwall. In the afternoon this spreads in across Wales, Northern Ireland and southern parts of England. Overnight the rain becomes confined to Scotland and north east England. Highs of 7 to 10C north to south.
Wednesday
A very wet morning across England and Wales with heavy rain. This should clear Wales and western parts of England by the afternoon then clears eastern England around mid afternoon. Turning sunnier as it clears. Just a few showers for western Scotland today and dry across Northern Ireland. Another area of rain spreads into Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and northern England overnight. Highs of 5 to 10C.
