Tuesday
A cloudy and damp start to the day over most of the UK. There will be periods of rain, most of it light, affecting many areas. There is a low risk of some heavier rain for a short time this morning across the southeast, but this fading quickly. Plenty of mist around too with fog on the hills. As the morning progresses the cloud and drizzle will be fading away although it may linger through East Anglia and the southeast throughout.
A drier start to the day across western Scotland, Ireland and Wales as well as southwest England. There will be plenty of cloud here, but a few brighter spells coming through.
This afternoon see it staying cloudy for most of England, Scotland and Wales. Rain will be continues through the eastern Midlands, East Anglia and the southeast, and this could become heavier towards the evening across southern counties. A few showers in Wales and Ireland and becoming drier through Scotland, southwest England and Ireland. Temperatures at a very mild 9 to 14C.
Tuesday night
Staying damp across the far southeast during this evening, and rather misty here too. Plenty of cloud across the rest of England and Wales, with a few showers across Wales. It should be drier in Scotland with some broken cloud with similar weather in most of Ireland.
After midnight rain is going to be spreading through most of England. It will be generally light, but there will be some patches of more moderate rain across central and eastern parts of England. Patchier, more showery rain across western England and Wales as well as southern Scotland. For northern parts of Scotland it should stay generally dry, although Ireland may remain damp. Misty in all areas. Lows near 0C in central Scotland, nearer 4 to 7C in southern England.
Wednesday
A wet morning across eastern and northern England with some moderate or heavy bursts of rain here and there. The rain into southern and eastern Scotland through Wednesday morning too, whilst the north and west of Scotland should be drier and brighter. Western parts of England and Wales will be drier and brighter with a few sunny spells whilst Ireland stays cloudy and rather damp.
More persistent rain reaching southwest Ireland and into the far southwest of England by evening. The rain should ease away from eastern England and Scotland, although there could be an odd shower in northern England and East Anglia. Drier elsewhere with bright or sunny spells. Highs at a very mild 9 to 14C.
Thursday
A breezy and wet day on Thursday through most of England, Scotland and Wales. Some heavy periods of rain through many parts of the country, bringing a risk of localised flooding in places. Conditions will be drier through Ireland, although there will be some showers in western and southern Ireland. Temperatures at 8 to 14C.
