Monday
A few wintry showers are likely across The Highlands this morning with some patchy rain and drizzle for eastern Scotland, north east England and parts of East Anglia. Just a few well scattered showers around Irish Sea coasts. Fair and mainly dry across the rest of Britain with a lot of cloud and a few sunny spells this morning. In the afternoon expect a good deal of dry weather but some rain will linger near to the coasts of eastern England with a few scattered showers in the south east. Best of the sunshine should be across northern England as cloud thickens up across Cornwall as another front approaches. High temperatures at 5 to 9C in the north, 10 to 12C in the south.
Monday Night
A breezy evening with outbreaks of rain to spread in across Northern Ireland, south west England and Wales. Dry, albeit cloudy for the rest of the country. Overnight rain moves into all parts and, preceded by snow across northern Scotland. The rain will be quite heavy, especially across Wales. Low temperatures at 0 to -2C in the north, 5 to 8C in the east and up to 11C in the west.
Tuesday
A cold morning with a risk of some heavy snow for north east Scotland. This should turn to rain in the afternoon. For the bulk of the United Kingdom it's looking very wet and windy for much of the day with heavy spells of rain. Perhaps the rain clearing to a few showers across The West Country, western Wales and Northern Ireland later in the afternoon. The rain is expected to clear most areas in the evening leaving showers across western parts of Scotland and England in the night. Staying quite windy as well tonight. Tops at 6 to 13C but 3C in north east Scotland.
Wednesday
Colder and breezy across the United Kingdom with plenty of showers to come across Northern Ireland and western areas this morning. Showers will be of snow across northern Scotland today. In the afternoon an area of rain will lie across northern England and Northern Ireland with showers across Wales and The West Country. Highs of 7 to 11C north to south.
