Monday
Largely dry and bright for eastern parts of England this morning with a lot of cloud, showers and some rain for the rest of the country. The showers will be of snow over the Highlands of Scotland. Expect a mainly dry afternoon with some sunshine for East Anglia and south east England with just the odd shower. A mixture of sunshine, cloud and showers are forecast for the remainder of the United Kingdom. Highs at 6 to 11C north to south.

Tonight
Rain is expected to sweep quickly east into all parts of the country this evening and will be very heavy in the west. This leads to a very wet night with heavy rain for all parts leading to local flooding in the north and west. The winds will be very strong with severe gales and gusts to 70-80 mph sweeping east. Lows at 5 to 8C.

Tuesday
Decreasingly windy and any residual rain across eastern Suffolk and Kent should soon clear away this morning otherwise expect a number of showers in most areas. The showers will be mainly in the north and west during the afternoon with southern England largely dry and bright. Most places turn dry by tonight with well broken cloud. Highs around 4 to 8C in the north, 9 to 12C in the south.

Wednesday
An area of rain will extend from Scotland into Northern Ireland and the south west of England. Elsewhere it looks mostly cloudy but mostly dry. The rain is expected to turn showery across northern Scotland, Northern Ireland and the West country in the afternoon. Some sunshine likely across central and eastern parts of England. Most places will have a dry, chilly night with patchy frost in rural areas. Highs around t to 13C.
