Blustery showers A fine weekend for England, Wales seiten=4 abk=focus

This afternoon
Lots of sunshine now across England and Wales but we will find more cloud developing along with a scattering of showers this afternoon. A few may turn heavy, especially across northern England with a slight risk of a thundery one. Plenty of blustery showers to come across Scotland and Northern Ireland, these frequently heavy with a risk of thunder and hail. Quite a windy afternoon, especially in the north. Highs around 7 to 12C for most.

Tonight
By this evening all of the showers will have gone and all parts of the country will have a fine, dry evening. Overnight rain is forecast to push in across Shetland and the northern half of Scotland. For the remainder of the United Kingdom it's a dry, chilly night with well broken cloud allowing some patchy frost to develop in rural areas of central and southern England. Lows at 2 to 5C.

Saturday
A windy day to come for the northern half of the United Kingdom. An area of rain is expected to linger across Scotland and Northern Ireland through the morning and the afternoon, perhaps some brighter, drier conditions will affect south east Scotland. A rather chilly start for England and Wales. But here it looks to be a fine, dry day to come with good spells of sunshine. With a front stalled in the north, more rain is forecast for Northern Ireland and Scotland into the evening and the night and here south west winds will reach gale force in the west. It will be staying dry tonight across England and Wales with well broken cloud. Feeling quite mild in the sunnier south with highs near 10 to 15C.

Sunday
That belt of rain across northern Scotland and Northern Ireland will remain there for much of the day and become heavier. Another mild day for England and Wales and here it remains mostly sunny and dry. This evening the rain in the north does shift into northern England and into Wales. Overnight the band of rain narrows and lies across northern England and Wales, dry to the north and south. Highs again of 10 to 15C.
