Dry across England, Wales Rain fading as it moves south Monday seiten=4 abk=focus

Sunday
Continued rather windy across much of the United Kingdom today. An area of rain this morning will turn heavier across Scotland and Northern Ireland and here it stays for much of the day. Later in the afternoon it may reach north west England and North Wales but will be quite light and patchy. Another mild day for England and Wales and here it remains dry with the best of the sunshine towards the east and south east. Highs near 10 to 15C.

Overnight
This evening the rain in the north does shift into all of northern England and into Wales as it clears northern Scotland. Overnight the band of rain narrows and lies across northern England, Wales and south west England, dry to the south with shower in the north. Lows at 6 to 9C.

Monday
A narrowing band of rain will clear north west England and southern Scotland but will lie across north east England, Wales, south west England and perhaps across the North Midlands. Colder and breezy across Northern Ireland today with a number of showers, though dry in eastern Scotland. A good deal of cloud to come across central and southern parts of England with the odd spot of rain or drizzle. More persistent rain moves back into north west Scotland. Colder in the north with tops of 5 to 9C but up to a mild 16C in the south east.

Tuesday
For much of England and the eastern half of Scotland it looks to be a dry, bright day. More cloud around in the morning but this should breaks to some decent sunshine before the afternoon. Cloudier across western Scotland and Northern Ireland with some patchy light rain or scattered shower activity. Overnight rain will affect the north of Scotland, otherwise a dry night to come for all other areas with some fog patches by morning. Maximums of 10 to 14C.
