Patchy rain passing southeast Sunny spells for many seiten=4 abk=focus

Thursday
A weak cold front moving southeastwards through the country during the course of the day. This will bring a band of rain through Scotland and Ireland during the morning. Following to the west will be sunny spells, although a few showers on coasts too, especially Scotland. Rather breezy through western and northern Scotland too. Little change for the afternoon as any rain clears to leave showers on western coasts.
For England and Wales the morning should be bright and mainly dry with plenty of sunshine. The afternoon sees cloud increasing through northern England bringing showery rain, this moving through Wales too. It will reach the Midlands and southwest England by mid-afternoon, although the far southeast and East Anglia stay dry until evening.

Thursday night
Cloud and showery rain over southeast England at first, although this rain will only be very light. For most of England, Wales, Ireland and the east of Scotland the night will be a dry one with god clear spells, and the risk of a touch of frost for many.
For the west and north of Scotland it should be dry at first, but cloud increasing here later after midnight, as the winds pick up to and drizzle with light rain arrives by the morning.

Friday
A chilly but bright start to the day for most of England and Wales. Plenty of sunshine for most parts and dry too. It should be a fine day for southern areas of Ireland, Thicker cloud for Northern Ireland and windy here with some drizzle moving through. Scotland is going to be windy with drizzle and rain passing east, although many eastern areas may stay dry. To the west cloud and rain will be affecting the coasts throughout. Highs at 8C in western Scotland, 14C in southern England.

Saturday
A windy day over the British Isles and Ireland. Rain for much of Ireland where this could be heavy at times. Further rain, heavy at times for much of Scotland, this turning to sleet and snow over the hills as the winds gust to gale force. Drier at first in the Midlands and the southeast quarter of the UK, but increasing cloud will be bringing rain here too. Highs near 9C over Scotland, a warm 15C in the far south of England.
