Saturday
Make the most of today if you are in much of England and eastern Wales, because the fine weather is not going to last. For this morning cloud will be breaking in these areas allowing some sunny spells to come through. It should feel pleasantly warm this afternoon with temperatures to 15C in parts of southern England.
A different story for Ireland, Scotland, northwest England and the west of Wales. far more cloud here and breezy too. Patchy rain for western and southern Ireland as well as western Wales and northwest England with little change through the day. Windy here too.
For Scotland it will become increasingly windy with only eastern areas starting dry. The afternoon sees cloud thickening from the west with the rain turning heavier through northern and western Scotland through the day, gales in the west by the evening. Temperatures here around 10C.

Saturday night
Widespread gales through Saturday night with the rain turning to snow through the evening over Scotland bringing blizzards to the mountains. This band of rain moves south through the night with the winds increasing everywhere. expect blizzards to develop over the Pennines and Welsh Mountains during the first part of the night. Rain then sweeps through the Midlands, Wales and East Anglia, clearing southeast England in the morning. Following will b much colder air with frequent, sometimes heavy snow showers into much of the country. Lows at 0C in Scotland, 5C in southern England.

Sunday
A cold day for all on Sunday and staying windy again too. The winds will be to gale force in places, more especially through Ireland and northern England. Frequent wintry showers will be affecting many parts of the country, with coasts in the north and west taking the brunt of these. Blizzards at times in the heavier showers over the hills, with a chance of more persistent snow, even at lower levels through the Midlands and Wales in the morning, then into southwest England in the afternoon. Highs at 0 to 6C.

Monday
The cold weather persists, although the winds should ease a touch. There will be further wintry showers, although these not quite so frequent as during Sunday, but still some heavy ones on windward facing coasts, and a few penetrating inland. More persistent snow may sink south through Scotland, where there will be further gales. Blizzards on the hills again. Temperatures at 0 to 4C.
