Bitterly cold, snow showers Becoming drier seiten=4 abk=focus

Tuesday
A strong Arctic northerly flow through the whole of the UK and Ireland again today. There will be snow showers for many parts of England and Scotland. Most of the showers across eastern parts of Scotland and the east of England, where some could be heavy enough to bring a covering go snow in places. Further west the showers should be less frequent, and they will tend to become more scattered this afternoon. It will be feeling bitterly cold everywhere with temperatures at 2C in eastern Scotland, nearer 8C in southwest England.

Tuesday night
The snow showers will be persisting through northeast England, East Anglia and the eastern Midlands as well as southeast England. Once again the snow showers could be heavy in places. Drier weather to the west with clearer skies and any showers will be more isolated. Generally dry and frosty through Ireland and western Scotland. Thicker cloud in western Ireland later, bringing some periods of drizzle. A widespread frost with lows at 1 to -3C.

Wednesday
The ridge of high pressure builds eastwards through the course of the day. A few snow showers across the far southeast of England. Elsewhere it will be dry with sunny spells, although this turning hazy over northern and western England and well as Wales. Cloud and rain spreading to Scotland and Ireland, mot of it light and patchy, this then spreading into northwest England and Wales later in the afternoon. Temperatures at 3 to 8C.

Thursday
A cloudy day through Thursday as a front gets stuck through central parts of the country. This will be bringing periods of rain and drizzle through much of England and Wales with mist and fog patches in places. It may be a little brighter in East Anglia in the afternoon. Drier for Ireland with sunny spells and mainly dry weather. A milder day at 6 to 11C.
