For much of England and Wales it's a dull, cloudy morning with some patchy, drizzly rain in places. Perhaps dry and sunnier across Cornwall and West Devon. A different story across Scotland and Northern Ireland this morning. Here it's a cold, frosty start to the day with lots of sunshine.
Not much change coming along this afternoon. Stills lots of cloud across England and Wales, still a few bits of drizzle here and there, though again best of the dry, sunnier weather will be found across western parts of Wales and south west England. Scotland and Northern Ireland should remain fine, dry and mostly sunny. Expect top temperatures of 7 to 10C.
Friday night
Dry with well broken cloud this evening and tonight across north western parts of England, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Though not as cold tonight, there is a risk of a local frost, mainly across inland Scotland. A cloudy, misty and milder night for England and Wales with patchy drizzle. Lows at 2 to -2C with 5C in the south.
Saturday
Most parts of the United Kingdom should be dry this morning with the best of the sunshine in the north and west. Thicker cloud in the south east of England may give a spots of drizzle. In the afternoon it stays fine and dry with some sunshine though later an onshore breezy may bring some drizzle to North Sea coasts. This evening some light rain or drizzle in the east will push into central parts of England and Scotland. This drizzly rain than pushes into all but Northern Ireland and the far west of Scotland and England. Highs at 9 to 12C.
Sunday
A dry, bright morning across Cornwall, Northern Ireland and northwest Scotland. Cloudy elsewhere with some patchy drizzle. In the afternoon expect lots of fair, dry weather and some sunshine will be breaking through in many areas though it looks to remain dull with patchy drizzle across south west England and south Wales. Still some drizzle in the south west tonight but most places will be dry with varying cloud and clear spells. Temperatures at 8 to 11C.
