Plenty of sunshine Showers in the west seiten=4 abk=focus

Tuesday
A fair but hazy morning for most of England, Wales and Scotland. There will be plenty of sunshine to come, although patchy low cloud could affect parts of Scotland. Over southwest England a few showers are likely to develop by later in the morning, these affecting Cornwall and the Scilly Isles particularly. Ireland will have more broken cloud and a few sunny spells, whilst showers could break out in the far south of Ireland.
The afternoon sees more persistent rain spreading through Ireland, with showers also breaking out over Wales and more widely through southwest England. A few showers in southwest Scotland too. For much of the rest of Scotland cloud will be well broken, whilst for much of central, northern and the eastern half of England the weather stays fine and dry through the day. A warm day in the sunshine at 17C, nearer 12C over northern Scotland.

Tuesday night
For much of Wales, parts of southwest England and southwest Scotland there will be a few showers through the evening. Cloudier with some outbreaks of rain over Ireland. Rather cloudy for the rest of Scotland, but for most of England the evening and night is going to be fine with plenty of sunshine throughout. Rather misty with some fog patches by the morning with lows near -1C over parts of the Midlands and northern England, nearer 4C in central Ireland.

Wednesday
A misty but fair morning over much of Wales and England as well as eastern parts of Scotland. Further west there will be thicker cloud with some outbreaks of rain and drizzle. The afternoon sees more persistent rain through western Scotland, some of it heavy. Rain too over Northern Ireland with only a few showers in central Ireland. A few showers could break out in the afternoon over Wales and the Midlands as well as northern England. Generally dry to the east and south with broken cloud and some sunny spells. Highs at 16C over southeast England, nearer 11C in the wetter weather over western Scotland.

Thursday
An unsettled day seems likely for Thursday as low pressure takes control of the weather. It is likely to be a wet day over most of England and Wales, as well as for Ireland and parts of southwest Scotland. Heavy showers moving into southwest England, with rain possibly turning wintry over the higher ground of Wales. The far north of Scotland, Orkney and Shetland should be dry with sunny spells throughout the day. Temperatures at a cold 7C in Wales, southwest England and Ireland but 12C over any brighter skies in East Anglia.
