Wednesday
Lots of low cloud and mist across England, Wales and eastern parts of Scotland. Dense fog patches will linger through central and northern areas for much of the morning. Some rain will move into Northern Ireland this morning with scattered showers developing across western parts of England, Wales and Scotland. An area of rain will lie across northern Scotland into Northern Ireland in the afternoon with showers across the rest of Scotland into Wales and western England. Central and eastern parts of England look dry on the whole with just a small risk of an isolated shower here. Another rather warm day with top temperatures of 12 to 16C but up to 18C in the south east.
Wednesday night
A dry evening to come for Northern Ireland. An area of persistent rain will affect Scotland, northern England and Wales. To the south and east largely dry with just a few widely scattered showers. Overnight the rain is forecast to spread into all but East Anglia and the south east of England. Continued dry across Northern Ireland. It turns much colder across Scotland tonight with a risk of some snow over the mountains. Later in the night it should turn drier across south west England and Wales. Lows at 0 to 4C in the north and 6 to 8C in the south.
Thursday
Today we lose the warmth as the colder air sinks southward. Heavy showers are likely this morning across south west England and Wales. Elsewhere it looks quite wet with spells of rain, the heaviest of which should be across northern parts of England. The north east part of Scotland will be dry but for the bulk of the United Kingdom the afternoon will remain cloudy with spells of rain and showers. It tends to dry up across eastern parts of England in the evening while the south west could see a spell of heavier rain. Overnight it stays cloudy with sporadic outbreaks of rain, perhaps something a bit heavier may affect Kent and Sussex. Highs at just 6 to 9C for most.
Friday
A dry morning across Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Rain is forecast for the rest of the country with some heavy bursts for the south east. Rain is likely across southern England and South Wales in the afternoon. Just a few showers to come further north with some sunshine. The rain lingers in the south in the evening before pushing north in the night. Highs of 9 to 12C.
