Thursday
With an area of high pressure across the United Kingdom it looks like a fine, settled day for all areas. This morning any patchy mist across northern, central and south east England will soon clear otherwise dry with sunny spells. Continued dry and pleasantly warm into the afternoon. Lots of sunshine to come with some occasional plates of cloud coming and going especially across north east England. Highs of 14 to 16C across Scotland and Northern Ireland, 17 to 20C for England and Wales.

Thursday Night
Expect a good deal of cloud across north western parts of Scotland this evening but it turns dry overnight. Continued fine and dry in the evening with some late sunshine for southern Scotland, England and Wales. Overnight it stays dry with clear spells leading to some mist and low cloud to develop. Lows of 4 to 9C.

Friday
A fine, dry and mostly sunny morning with some early mistiness. Cloud is expected to thicken up across south west England through the morning. In the afternoon an area of rain will move into south west England and southern Wales with a risk of some heavy showers across north Wales and the West Midlands. Elsewhere it stays dry with hazy sunshine. The area of showery rain will clear the south west and push up into western Scotland and Northern Ireland overnight. Highs of 17 to 23C across the country.

Saturday
Looks like a hot, summery day across much of England and Wales. Any low cloud and mistiness will clear to hazy sunshine this morning. In the afternoon expect a good deal of sunshine but the high temperatures may kick off some heavy showers across Wales, northern parts of England and southern Scotland. More persistent rain is likely for the north of Scotland with a few showers to come across Northern Ireland. Expect maximum temperatures of 15 to 19C north to south
