Sunday
Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will move into northern parts of Scotland this morning. By the afternoon this becomes confined to the far north and north west of Scotland. This morning will be a dry morning for the rest of the United Kingdom with a good deal of low cloud and fog across central and eastern parts of England, parts of Wales and eastern Scotland. Through the morning this should disperse to hazy sunny spells. A very warm afternoon to come for England and Wales with plenty of hazy sunshine but there is a risk of a few sharp showers developing across Wales and perhaps south west England. Some fog may also linger near some eastern coasts at times. Highs of 16 to 20C across Scotland and Northern Ireland, 21 to 26C for England and Wales but near 12C in any cloud and mist along North Sea coasts.
Sunday Night
The rain across northern Scotland this evening will become heavier as it moves into Northern Ireland and much of Scotland in the night. A fine evening cross England and Wales with some pleasant sunshine to come. Overnight it stays dry with clear spells and occasional low cloud and fog. A mild night with lows of 8 to 13C.
Monday
Some patchy rain will clear south east Scotland with a band of cloud across northern England and Wales with the odd showers in the south. A mainly dry, cooler afternoon for Northern Ireland and Scotland. Still warm across England and Wales with a risk of showers, some may be heavy with a risk of thunder in southern England and the Midlands. Rather cloudy into the evening and night across England and Wales with some patchy light rain. Highs at 16 to 24C.
Tuesday
A cloudy morning across England and Wales with a few spots of rain but this should go as it brightens up for the afternoon. Apart from a band of rain across the far north of Scotland, high pressure will keep most places fair and dry with sunny spells. Much cooler today with tops of 10 to 13C for Scotland and Northern Ireland, 13 to 16C for England and Wales.
