Rather cloudy across northern parts of England and Scotland this morning with some patchy light rain in places. Cloudy too but dry for Northern Ireland and perhaps East Anglia and the East Midlands. A fine, dry morning for Wales and central and southern England with good sunny spells. Moderate rain is likely across the northern half of Scotland in the afternoon with some patchy rain across Northern Ireland. Elsewhere it's a dry afternoon with hazy sunshine with highs of 11 to 14C across Scotland and Northern Ireland, 15 to 19C for England and Wales.
Friday Night
A good deal of cloud to come this evening for northern parts of England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland with some rain. This will be heaviest across northern Scotland. Fair and dry to the south. Overnight the rain becomes mainly confined to Scotland. Fine and dry for England and Wales with clear spells and patchy fog in the south. Rather windy too for Scotland. Lows of 5 to 9C.
Saturday
A band of rain is going to linger from Shetland across northern Scotland right through the day. Lots of cloud again for Northern Ireland but dry, perhaps brighter skies will develop in the afternoon. For the rest of Scotland and all of England and Wales high pressure will keep it settled, dry and mostly sunny. The rain persists across northern Scotland into the evening and night and may edge into northern counties of Northern Ireland. Fine and dry with some early evening sunshine elsewhere then dry and mostly clear by night. Highs at 15 to 19C.
Sunday
Fine and sunny across England and Wales in the morning with a wet morning across Northern Ireland and northern Scotland. In the afternoon the rain will remain in the north but for Wales and England it should be a fine, summery afternoon and becoming quite warm too. Little change is expected tonight with the rain stalled in the north. Tops of 12 to 15C in the rain, 16 to 22C in the sunshine.
