Sunday
A fair morning over much of central and southern England. There will be lots of warm sunshine, not ideal for the London Marathon which will be run in warm temperatures and sunshine. Little change through the morning over most of England. In the afternoon cloud increases through northern England and the Midlands as well as parts of the far southwest with the chance of a hoer breaking out, but for many it should stay dry. Wales will have some sunny spells at first, but then these will be clouding over as a front moves in, bringing some outbreaks of rain to the north coasts before lunchtime. This then slips southeastwards triggering a few showers in the afternoon. For Ireland and much of Scotland there will be variable amounts of cloud, some sunshine but also showers. Most of the showers in the west where a few could be heavy. Eastern Scotland should be drier with more sunny spells here, although a few showers are likely in the afternoon. Temperatures at 12C in western Scotland, as high as 22C in southeast England.
Sunday night
A cold front moving east through the country during the night. As it does so it will bring some light rain to the Midlands and much of southern England, and may possibly trigger a thundery showers over southern England. Drier, but rather cloudy weather for Wales and northern England, although skies tending to clear during the night. For Scotland there will be some showers or outbreaks of rain, whilst Ireland remains mainly dry. Temperatures down to between 9 and 12C.
Monday
Fine through Monday morning for many with some spells of sunshine. The best of the sunshine lasts through the day over eastern and central parts of England and Scotland. To the west of England, Wales and Scotland cloud increases in the afternoon, bringing some rain. More persistent rain over Ireland will bring a rather damp day, and it may become breezy too. Temperatures at 14 to 19C.
Tuesday
A change in weather on Tuesday as a front lies north to south through the country. This is going to be bringing a swathe of cloud through England, Wales and eastern Scotland which will be thick enough to produce some outbreaks of rain. Lighter rain over eastern England, but bright here in the morning. Over Ireland and western Scotland there is a risk of some showers, the highest risk through western Scotland. Brighter here with sunny spells. Temperatures at 12 to 19C.
