Showers passing east Sunny spells to the west seiten=4 abk=focus
Wednesday
Rather a cloud morning through much of central and eastern England. There will be a few showers here and there as the cloud moves east. A fairly breezy morning as well, especially when compared to recently. Brighter weather will be following to the west through the morning, this extending into Wales and western England. Showers or longer spells of rain over Northern Ireland, although this clears in the afternoon to leave sunny spells. Windy here. For Scotland it will be fairly damp in the west with periods of rain, although these clearing northwards to allow brighter skies to come through in the afternoon. The best of the sunshine over western Ireland. Highs at a warm 21C in southeast England, but turning cooler from the west with highs at 12C in Northern Ireland.
Wednesday night
A ridge of high pressure building through Ireland and the west of the UK tonight. This is going to be bringing lots of dry weather through Ireland, Wales and much of England; cloud breaking with clear spells coming through. Over Scotland there will be a few showers at first, but these fading away later. Towards the southeast there will be further cloud and some drizzle at times, although this tending to fade away. Lows near 5C under the clearer skies, nearer 9C in southeast England.
Thursday
Cloud throughout the extreme southeast of England. This is going to be breaking slowly to allow some sunny spells to come through in the afternoon. Some cloud too into western Ireland, perhaps bringing an odd shower, this reaching western Scotland later. For the rest of the country the day will be dry under high pressure. There should be some good spells of sunshine for most areas, and it will feel warm. Highs near 16C in southeast England, nearer 23C through central and western England.
Friday
High pressure dominating through the day again. The high will be over Scotland and all indications are that the country is in for a dry and sunny day. It will be fairly breezy in the south, and there is a very low risk of an odd shower breaking out close to southern coasts of England in the afternoon. For many though, it stays dry and sunny. A very warm day in the south and west at 25C, but cooler on the coasts at nearer 17C.
