Friday
Quite dull and misty this morning and feeling cold too across central and eastern parts of Scotland and England. Gradually this low cloud and mist will be slowly retreating back to North Sea coasts but may linger in some areas. Best of the sunshine will be found towards the west. In the afternoon, apart from a few scattered showers across the far south of England, it looks fair and dry with lots of warm sunshine, though low cloud and fog may linger around eastern coasts. Some cloud may also drift around the East Midlands and north east England. Highs of 15 to 21C but only 11C around North Sea coasts.
Friday Night
Any well scattered showers in the south will soon fade early this evening with much of the country fine and dry though later this evening the low cloud and mist will push back into eastern parts of England and Scotland. Overnight this then spreads into all but western parts of Britain and Northern Ireland. Lows of 5 to 10C for most areas.
Saturday
Little overall change is expected in the weather today. All parts of the United Kingdom will be dry with lots of low cloudiness and mist in the morning slowly burning back to the eastern coasts of England and Scotland. Outbreaks of rain will move into Scotland, Northern Ireland and north west England overnight. Quite warm in the south with tops of 18 to 22C and 15 to 19C in the north.
Sunday
A change is on the way today as the extended spell of dry weather gives way to unsettled conditions. Outbreaks of rain, heavy in places, across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England is forecast to spread into Wales and the West Midlands in the afternoon. Continued dry in the south east. A wet night to come in the south with showers in the north. Expect highs of 13 to 18C but up to 21C in the south east of England.
