Saturday
Another cloudy start to the day over much of eastern England, this cloud reaching as far as the Midlands. The cloud is going to be reluctant to break up, but it should so slowly, and then the day will become dry with some good spells of sunshine coming through. For northwest England, southwest England, Wales and Scotland and Ireland, it should be a fine morning. Plenty of sunshine to come in all places. The afternoon brings little change, although thicker cloud could bring showers to western Scotland and western Ireland. Winds will be mainly light, but a brisk northeast wind continues to blow over the far southeast. Temperatures at 14C on the coasts of Kent, nearer 21C over the sunnier parts of south Wales.

Saturday night
A dry night to come through much of the eastern Midlands and southeast England. Skies should be clear and there is likely to be a few mist patches forming by the morning. Through Scotland showery rain will be pushing eastwards and it is going to become windy too, the rain turning more persistent later in the night. For western England after a dry start, cloud and rain will be spreading eastwards, most of it light and showery, but more persistent rain into northern England, Wales and western England later. For Ireland the night will start wet and windy, but the rain clearing to showers later. Lows around 2C in sheltered parts of the southeast, nearer 8C in western Scotland.

Sunday
A changeable morning for International Dawn Chorus day. Cloud and light rain through the Midlands and southeast England on Sunday morning, although probably dry in the far southeast at first. This rain should clear away in the easily afternoon, with drier weather already into the Midlands through the morning. Showers will be affecting many western parts of England and Wales, a few of them on the heavy side, especially over northern England. Rain in Scotland continues ion and off throughout the day, and it will be windy here too. For Ireland a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, although cloud increases in the west towards evening. Temperatures at 11C in Scotland, nearer 19C in the south.

Monday
A breezy day through most of the country. There will be sunny spells through the morning and afternoon with some showers into inland areas, although most of these should be quite well scattered. Heavier showers on western coasts of England and through Wales. Heavier showers to come over Scotland, these perhaps merging to longer spells of rain, with the more persistent showers also affecting northern Ireland. Highs at 11C in Scotland, nearer 17C over southern England.
