Tuesday
Rather windy and wet across much of the country this morning with outbreaks of rain, though brighter with showers for northern Scotland. The rain looks heavy across northern England and Wales. Rain will persist across the south west of England but is forecast to clear away from eastern parts of England. Most areas will have showers for the afternoon, a few heavy, interspersed with fleeting sunny spells. Highs of 13 to 16C for most places.
Tuesday Night
Continued breezy this evening with some light rain across south west England and the extreme south of England. Showers will fall across western Wales, Northern Ireland and northern Scotland but fair and dry elsewhere. Overnight rain lingers across the West Country and along the channel coast with scattered showers for northern parts of Scotland. For the remainder of Britain it's dry. Lows of 5 to 9C north to south.
Wednesday
Lots of showers to come across Scotland and Northern Ireland today and some sunshine to. Outbreaks of rain in the far south of England in the morning will push up into Wales and The Midlands in the afternoon. Fair and dry for northern parts of England and East Anglia. A wet evening and night is expected for much of the United Kingdom and becoming windy with a risk of gales in the west. Look for highs of 12 to 15C.
Thursday
Apart from showers around western coasts of Wales and England it's a dry morning across England and Wales with sunny spells. A spell of heavy rain will linger across the north of Scotland today. In the afternoon some rain will threaten the far south of England with some heavy showers for Northern Ireland, southern Scotland and northern England. Rain eventually clears the south during the night with further showers to come in the north. Expect highs of 12 to 18C.
