A wet & windy day Best in northern Scotland seiten=4 abk=focus
Sunday
With low pressure centred to the south of Ireland, the day looks set to be a fairly miserable one over much of the country. heavy rain is going to be spreading into southern Ireland and southwest England early this morning. This will be spreading steadily northwards during the course of the morning to be through much of Wales, the Midlands and southern England by midday. At the same time the winds are going to be increasing. Northern England will have a few showers, whilst Scotland is going to be dry with some sunny spells, although thicker cloud on eastern coasts. Into the afternoon and most of England, Wales and Ireland will be wet with heavy spells of rain. Windy here too, although we should find the far south of England having the rain easing later. For Scotland the afternoon may well stay largely dry, apart from an odd spot on southern coasts. Temperatures at 10C to 15C.
Sunday night
Heavy rain for much of northern England and Wales at first tonight, this then slipping back eastwards through the northern Midlands, but still mainly affecting Wales and the north. Heavy showers into southern coasts of England, and again drier for Scotland and Ireland, although showers could affect the far north of Scotland. Lows near 4 to 8C.
Monday
For Monday the heavier rain persists over much of northern England, the Midlands and Wales during the morning, before edging away very slowly to the east. By the afternoon it will likely be East Anglia that is wet, as well as southeast England, whilst much of the rest of England and Wales should become drier and brighter. Breezy in the rain too. For Ireland and Scotland the day will be bright and generally dry with good sunny spells, although increasing cloud may bring rain to western Ireland and western Scotland later. Highs around 11 to 15C.
Tuesday
After a drier night there is an indication that Tuesday may become a wet day once again. The morning could start bright, but then cloud and rain spread from the west courtesy of low pressure. This will bring rain into Ireland, western Scotland, Wales and western England in the morning, before this spreads to the rest of the country in the afternoon. Highs at 10 to 14C.
