Tuesday
A few outbreaks of rain in Kent at first this morning, but these should clear away fairly quickly. Much of England and Wales will then be bright with sunny spells, the best of the sunshine in the Midlands and East Anglia. Western coasts of Wales and southwest England are going to have some mist and fog drifting off the see from time to time. Further north a band of cloud and outbreaks of light rain will be travelling southwards through Ireland and southern Scotland in the morning, these then extending into northern England in the afternoon. Brighter weather for northern and western Scotland with sunny spells coming through, the best of these in the east. Highs at 21C in the far south of England, nearer 14C in western Scotland.
Tuesday night
A rather cloudy and damp night to come through Ireland and western Scotland, as well as northwest England. There will be some drizzle here, with more persistent rain for western parts of Scotland and western Ireland. For much of England and Wales the night should be dry with clear skies in the south. Coasts of southwest England could have some low cloud and fog from time to time. Temperatures at 4 to 8C.
Wednesday
Periods of cloud and rain over much of Northern Ireland and Scotland. The west of Scotland will be seeing most of the rain. Outbreaks of rain could spread to the far north of England in the afternoon. For most of England and Wales the day is going to be bright with sunny spells. Southwest Wales and western parts of southwest England may have some low cloud from time to time. Temperatures at a warm 24C over central England, 12C in western Scotland.
Thursday
A weak cold front slips southwards into Ireland and northern England through the day. This will bring a few spots of showery rain to Ireland and northwest England. To the south, most of England and Wales will be dry with plenty of sunshine, although it may be a chilly start. To the north if will be bright this sunny spells, and a few showers over western coasts. Highs at 12C in western Scotland, a hot 25C in southern England.
