Saturday
There may be some cloud over the far southeast of England this morning, but this will be clearing away quickly. Most of England, Wales and the south and east of Scotland should have a fine morning with good spells of sunshine. However, in the afternoon cloud will be increasing with rain spreading in. The rain becoming more persistent and heavier. Cloud also increasing through Wales and western England in the afternoon, making the sun hazy and bring rain to the far west of Wales and southwest England by the evening. Highs at 12C in northern Scotland, as high as 19C in the far south of England.

Saturday night
Low pressure drifting eastwards through Wales and southwest England tonight. This will be bringing heavy rain through most of Ireland, Wales and England. The rain is going to become heavier through the course of the night, and the winds will be picking up through the early hours too. Showers into the east of Scotland, but drier in western Scotland. Lows around 4 to 8C.

Heavy, persistent rain through most of the UK and Ireland today. Low pressure over the south will be bringing strong winds and a risk of flooding. There could be sleet, or perhaps even snow over the tops of the Pennines, Lake District and Snowdonia. The day will not be suitable for walking. Scotland will have showers, some of them heavy in the south and east. It should be brighter to the north and west, although feeling cold. Conditions turning more showers over Ireland, although remaining windy. Temperatures around 7 to 14C.
