Tuesday
Windy along the eastern coasts of Scotland and England this morning with a risk of some rain with heavier rain for northern Scotland. For the rest if the United Kingdom it's a chilly but dry morning with sunny spells. In the afternoon rain will persist across the northern half of Scotland. For all other areas it will remain fine and dry with sunny spells and occasional cloud. Less windy away from eastern coasts so feeling a bit warmer today with highs of 10 to 16C north to south.
Tuesday Night
A band of rain will lie across Shetland and the far north of Scotland, otherwise it's a fine, dry evening with some late sunshine. Overnight another batch of rain will spread into parts of Wales and the south west of England. The rest of the country will have a dry, mostly clear and cold night with a touch of frost possible as far south as southern England. Lows of 1 to 3C but dipping locally to below freezing in rural areas.
Wednesday
Another area of rain across Northern Ireland, Wales and the West Country this morning will turn heavier, moving into central, north west and southern parts of England. For north east England and much of Scotland it looks dry with the best of the sunshine. This evening the rain clears Northern Ireland, Wales and south west England with rain for all other areas. Most areas turn dry overnight. Expect highs of 14 to 18C north to south.
Thursday
Outbreaks of rain will spread in across northern Scotland and will loiter close to North Sea coasts through the day. A number of heavy showers will develop across Wales and south west England in the morning and will become more widespread across England in the afternoon with a risk of thunder. Most of the showers will fade this evening with some residual rain in the far north of Scotland tonight. Expect highs of 14 to 19C.
