Thursday
With low pressure dominating, it stays unsettled across the united Kingdom today. While some eastern areas may start fine, dry and mostly sunny, showers already in the west are going to develop more widely later this morning. So this afternoon all areas can expect a mixture of cloud, showers and sunnier spells. Many of the showers will turn heavy with a risk of thunder or hail as well. Expect highs of 15 to 18 north to south.

Thursday Night
During the evening rain is forecast to spread into the south east corner of England with early showers fading from the rest of England, Wales and Scotland. Overnight the rain in the south east will spread into central and southern parts of England. The rest of the country should remain dry. Lows of 7 to 11C.

Friday
Mostly dry this morning across Scotland with one or two showers for Northern Ireland. A lot of cloud for England and Wales with some rain and showers. In the afternoon most places will again have a mix of sunny spells and showers, some locally heavy with perhaps the north east of England escaping with a dry afternoon. Scattered showers across western parts of Scotland, England and Wales will clear this evening then overnight it's dry but cloud thickens up in the west. Expect highs of 16 to 19C.

Saturday
A warmer day in store for the United Kingdom. Fine and dry in all parts in the morning with the best of the sunshine in the east. In the afternoon western parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland may see some light rain while the bulk of the UK stays dry and mostly sunny. Rain across Northern Ireland and western Scotland in the evening spreads into Wales and western parts of England in the night. Expect highs of 18 to 23C.
