Friday
Apart from a few scattered showers across western Scotland, Wales and the West Country, much of the United Kingdom will be dry this morning with good sunny spells though Kent could see some more persistent rain. In the afternoon it looks bright and dry across eastern parts of England into the East Midlands. Western areas will have sunshine and showers, some heavy, especially in the north. Expect highs of 16 to 19C in the north, 19 to 22C in the south.

Friday Night
During the evening any showers across Wales and western parts of Scotland and England will soon fade with all parts having some fine evening sunshine. Overnight an area of rain will spread in across Northern Ireland and western Scotland while the rest of the country should remain dry. Lows of 7 to 11C.

Saturday
A band of rain will become stalled across the far north of Scotland and western parts of Northern Ireland today. Apart from the odd afternoon showers across central England, it's a fine, dry and warm day with lots of sunshine on offer for most areas. During the night the rain in the far west eventually moves onto the western coasts of England and Wales. To the east it looks dry with clear spells. A warm day with highs of 19 to 24C north to south.

Saturday
Continued warm today with outbreaks of moderate to heavy rain across the western half of Britain and some sunshine in the east in the morning. In the afternoon the persistent rain lingers in the west with some heavy, possibly thundery showers developing across eastern parts of England. Eventually the rain clears the west tonight and moves into eastern areas. Expect highs of 14 to 16C in the wetter wet and 20 to 24C in the east.
