Heavy showers developing Cloud and rain in Scotland seiten=4 abk=focus
Tuesday
After a fair morning for many over England and Wales, scattered showers will be forming fairly quickly. The focus for these appears to be through the eastern Midlands and northern England, although anywhere over East Anglia and the western Midlands could see an odd shower. Showers too for Ireland, whilst Scotland will have cloud and some outbreaks of rain, most through central and southern areas. Into this afternoon the showers will become heavier through many central and northern parts of England, with a risk of some thunderstorms. Less showers to the south, with scattered showers for parts of Wales. Further heavier showers across Ireland, with more cloud and some patchy rain in eastern and southern Scotland, whilst the west and north of Scotland should stay dry. Highs at 24C in the sunnier south, nearer 14C in northern Scotland.
Tuesday night
Cloud and a band of rain slipping southwards into northern England overnight, most of it light, but the possibility of a heavier burst over the Pennines. Scattered showers over Ireland, these merging into more persistent, but mainly light rain. Showers through central and northern England will be fading through the evening to leave most of the night dry. However, some cloud and outbreaks of rain will be moving into the west of Ireland and southwest England later. Lows near a mild 9 to 14C.
Wednesday
Wednesday morning starts with a band of rain through northern England, this is going to be a fairly narrow area, but could bring some heavy and thundery bursts. Scattered showers for England and Wales, but increasingly cloud. More persistent rain spreads and develops from the southwest during the day bringing the threat of a wet afternoon over much of Wales, western and southern England, with showers for East Anglia and the southeast. Further showers are rain for Ireland. Scotland should become drier, although cold, with broken cloud in the far north and a few sunny spells. Highs at 11C in northern Scotland, 21C in southern England.
Thursday
Another unsettled day. Cloud and rain for much of Ireland, Wales and northern England. Drier at first for southern England, but then rain moving in here later, perhaps becoming heavy at times. For Scotland it should become drier with some brighter spells, the best of the sunshine to the west. Temperatures at 22C in the southwest, nearer 12C in northern Scotland.
