Rain pushing north Lots of showers to follow seiten=4 abk=focus
Monday
Overcast and damp this morning with outbreaks of rain across Wales and central and southern parts of England with some heavy showers for The West Country. To the north expect some sunshine and a scattering of light showers. In the afternoon the area of rain turns more showery with most parts of Britain having a good deal of cloud, some sunshine and plenty of showers, some will be heavy. Perhaps Kent and Sussex may escape with a dry afternoon so here it looks the warmest. Maximum temperatures of 15 to 19C.
Monday Night
It looks fair and dry across southern England this evening with scattered showers for Wales, northern England and western Scotland. Outbreaks of rain spread into south west England and Wales overnight with some light rain too across northern England. Elsewhere it stays dry. Expect minimums of 9 to 12C.
Tuesday
An area of rain, heavy at times, will be across western Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and The West Country. To the east it's a fair, dry, bright morning with sunny spells. The rain in the west then spills east into all but East Anglia and south east England where some heavy showers will develop. Overnight the heavy area of rain will become confined to the northern half of Scotland with the rest of Britain fine and dry. Highs in a range of 17 to 24C.
Wednesday
Still a lot of heavy rain to come across the far north of Scotland into the Northern Isles today. Much of central and eastern England looks fair and dry this morning but showers will affect western Britain. Then in the afternoon the showers again develop more widely across England ad Wales. Few showers may affect Kent and eastern parts of East Anglia. Showers are likely to linger through the evening and night but mainly dry across eastern parts of England and Scotland. Highs of 16 to 23C.
