Tuesday
An area of rain, heavy at times, will be across western Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and The West Country. To the east it's a fair, dry, bright morning with sunny spells. The rain in the west then spills into Northern Ireland with some heavy showers across central parts of England and Scotland. Mainly dry though in the far east of England and Scotland. Warmer today with maximum temperatures of 18 to 22C.

Tuesday Night
This evening an area of locally heavy rain will affect Northern Ireland, northern England and Scotland with the remainder of England and Wales turning dry as the showers die out. Overnight the heavy area of rain will become confined to the northern half of Scotland with the rest of Britain fine and dry though a few showers are possible across Cornwall. Expect minimums of 10 to 13C.

Wednesday
Still a lot of heavy rain to come across the far north of Scotland into the Northern Isles today. Much of central and eastern England looks fair and dry this morning but showers will affect western Britain. Then in the afternoon the showers again develop more widely across England ad Wales. Few showers may affect Kent and eastern parts of East Anglia. Showers are likely to linger through the evening and night but mainly dry across eastern parts of England and Scotland. Highs of 16 to 23C.

Thursday
Outbreaks of rain will fall across central and southern England in the morning with showers expected for the rest of Britain. All parts of the country will have plenty of showers through the afternoon with many locally heavy, interspersed with fleeting, sunnier spells. Still expect scattered showers into the evening and night. Highs of 17 to 20C.
