Wednesday
Very windy and very wet across Scotland this morning with gales and heavy rain. In the afternoon the rain becomes confined to northern Scotland with heavy showers in the south. For East Anglia, The East Midlands and the south east of England it looks to be a dry, mostly sunny day to come. The remainder of Britain will be showery, many locally heavy. It also become quite windy across south west England into the Irish Sea and Northern Ireland. Expect maximum temperatures of 17 to 22C.
Wednesday Night
This evening an area of rain across northern Scotland will clear away for tonight. Windy across western parts of Britain this evening and tonight with evening showers giving way to more persistent rain across south west England and Wales. Eastern areas look to be dry this evening and overnight. Expect minimums of 10 to 13C.
Thursday
Outbreaks of rain will fall across south west England in the morning and afternoon. All other parts of the country will have plenty of showers through the day with many locally heavy, interspersed with fleeting, sunnier spells. A rumble of thunder is possible as well. Still expect scattered showers into the evening with some light rain for Wales and central England overnight. Highs of 16 to 19C.
Friday
Continued unsettled with low pressure in control. Apart from Kent and Sussex, the rest of Britain it remains very shower with little in the way of protracted sunny spells. Again the showers will be heavy with a risk of thunder. Showers this evening across England and Wales will die out by tonight with a band of rain moving into Scotland. Highs of 17 to 20C.
