Outbreaks of rain will fall across south west England and Wales in the morning, most of it light. Here this turns more showery in the afternoon with some sunshine developing and the showers will be heavy. For the remainder of the United Kingdom sunny spells give way to lots of showers through the morning and the afternoon. These too will be locally heavy and interspersed with sunnier periods. Perhaps it stays dry across Kent. Expect maximum temperatures of 15 to 19C.
Thursday Night
Still unsettled into the evening and night with showers persisting in many areas. Lighter rain is possible across northern England and Wales during the night. A mild night with minimums of 10 to 13C.
Friday
Continued unsettled across much of Britain with low pressure in control. Apart from Kent and western parts of Cornwall, the rest of Britain it remains very showery with little in the way of sunshine. Again the showers will be heavy with a risk of thunder and hail. Most of the showers will become confined to western coasts of England, Wales and England by tonight while rain spreads into Ireland. Highs of 16 to 21C.
Saturday
Expect rain for the far north of Scotland today. After a bright start showers again will quickly develop across much of the United Kingdom, these heavy with thunder into the afternoon. It may dry up across western parts of Wales, Cornwall and West Devon. Rather cloudy into the evening and night with showers lingering around western coasts of Britain. Highs of 15 to 19C.
