Monday
With heavy rain expected to linger across northern England into The Midlands, there is a high risk of severe weather with widespread flooding possible. Much of the United Kingdom will be wet and very windy with the winds gusting to gale force in the north and west which push south later in the day. The rain will be light across Scotland with a mainly dry day for Northern Ireland. Feeling cold as well today with maximum temperatures well below normal at 11 to 15C.
Monday Night
Still spells of heavy rain are likely across north east England into the East Midlands, East Anglia into south east England. This slowly clears away to the east through the night. Light rain across eastern Scotland will also clear overnight. Western parts of Britain will be mainly dry. Strong gales will continued to blow from the north across the country with gusts to 55 mph around North Sea coasts. Minimums of 8 to 11C.
Tuesday
Continued windy and cold today but the gales will be moderating across eastern England. Any residual rain near North Sea coasts will soon clear away. Much of Britain will have a much better day with plenty of dry weather with sunnier spells. Later some rain will push in across Northern Ireland. In the evening and night some rain will affect south west England, Wales and northern Scotland. Highs of 12 to 17C.
Wednesday
Expect scattered showers for the far south of England through the day and light rain across the north of Scotland. For much of the United Kingdom it will be a dry day with sunny spells. Apart from a few showers in the north of Scotland, it's a fine evening with late sunshine and continued dry overnight. Highs of 12 to 18C.
