More rain coming for all A further risk of flooding seiten=4 abk=focus
Thursday
Some bright spells this morning through central and eastern parts of England. Cloud is going to be increasing from the west, although most parts of England and Wales will be staying dry until lunchtime. A damper morning for Scotland, especially in central and western areas with periods of rain here. More cloud and rain to come over Ireland, the rain heavy at times. Into this afternoon the rain continues across Ireland and moves into Wales, northwest and southwest England. This rain could become heavy at times. Showers over Scotland, although more persistent rain in the west. The far southeast of England, together with East Anglia, should stay dry, although rather breezy. Temperatures at 13C in northern Scotland, perhaps 21C in any brightness in the southeast.
Thursday night
A wet night to come across Ireland, England and Wales. Rain will be sweeping in from the west, together with strong winds. Rainfall will be steady, although heavy bursts are likely, and with up ti an inch of rain falling in some places flooding could occur once again, especially in those areas already struggling because of past rainfall. Lighter, more patchy rain for Scotland, with northern areas being generally dry. Temperatures down to 12C over central England, but under clearer skies in Sotland there could be a ground frost with lows of 2C.
Friday
Two areas of rain affecting the country on Friday morning, the first through northern England and southern Scotland, the second affecting the far southeast of England. The rain should clear into the North Sea, although the rain may linger in Northumberland and southeast Scotland. Scattered, heavy showers following into the eastern Midlands, with showers too over western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Highs at 18C in southern England, 14C in Scotland.
Saturday
We need to get prpapred for another very wet spell of weather on Saturday. Low pressure will push a band of cloud and rain through ireland and into western Scotland, wales and the far west of England in the morning, together with strong winds in the west too. The east may start drier, but the rain will be edging in during the afternoon, and this is likely to be turning heavy over Scotland, northern England, the Midlands, Wales and southwest England. Heavy showers follow to Ireland. Flooding is likely once again with a further 1 to 2-inches of rain in places; Wales, the Midlands, northern England and southern Scotland being particularly affected. Highs at 15 to 19C.
