Friday
As an area of heavy rain clears East Anglia and south east England this morning it turns sunnier and dry here for a time before showers develop through the afternoon. Lots of showers to come across the bulk of the United Kingdom this morning, some heavy By the afternoon most of the showers will become confined mainly to eastern parts of England and across Scotland. Lots of sunshine is expected in the west and into the Midlands for the afternoon. Maximum temperatures at 15 to 20C north to south.

Friday Night
Any showers across eastern Scotland and down in south east England will soon go with most places ending the day with some pleasant sunshine though rain may reach western Cornwall by the end of the evening. Then overnight this rain spreads into Northern Ireland, Wales and much of central and southern England. Becoming windy in the west with minimums of 6 to 12C but a cold 1 to 3C in central Scotland with a tough of frost possible.

Saturday
A windy and wet day for most places as heavy rain spreads to all but the north of Scotland in the morning. In the afternoon the rain clears Northern Ireland to showers but persist across the rest of Britain which may lead to further flooding. Spells of locally heavy rain will persist right through the evening and night in most places exacerbating the flooding problem. Chilly today underneath all that rain with highs of 12 to 16C.

Sunday
The heavy will be over northern Scotland this morning which changes to shower in the afternoon. Very unsettled across England, Wales and Northern Ireland brief sunny spells and frequent showers, these heavy with a risk of a rumble of thunder, particularly across northern England where some torrential downpours are likely. A number of showers will linger into the evening with some light rain across the country overnight. Highs of 15 to 20C.
