Heavy showers are likely to follow into Ireland, with a risk of thunder here. Drier in the far southeast of England at first, but the rain soon moving in. The exception is going to be northern Scotland, Shetland and Orkney where will light winds and sunshine it should be a pleasant day. Temperatures at between 14 and 18C.
Saturday night
The rain is slowly moving over central and southern Scotland together with much of England through this evening. Although probably not heavy, apart from over the southern Uplands, the persistent nature of the rain will add to flooding problems. To the west another area of heavier, showery rain will sweep through Ireland, Wales and southwest England. A windy night too. Lows around 10 to 14C.

Some sunny spells following, but then also further heavy, thundery showers. More thundery showers in Ireland as well. Little change for Scotland with rain in the far north and some showers elsewhere. Temperatures at 14 to 8C.
