Monday
Apart from a few showers around the western coasts of Wales and south west England, it's a dry, bright start across much of the United Kingdom. Through the morning more cloud and showers will develop across Wales and England as rain spreads into Northern Ireland. A mainly dry afternoon for Scotland except for the odd afternoon shower while the persistent rain moves into Wales and The West County. Elsewhere expect a mixture of sunshine and showers, a few will be heavy. Expect maximums at 15 to 19C north to south.
Monday Night
This evening an area of moderate to heavy rain will spread across central and southern England clearing Wales and Northern Ireland. The area then clears southern parts of England late in the night. To the north it's a fine end to the day ahead of a clear, dry night. Chilly in the north with lows down to 5C but 10 to 12C is expected in the south.
Tuesday
Some patchy rain to come for the far north of Scotland this morning and the odd shower in the far south of England. In between it's dry with sunny spells. A lot of dry, bright weather with sunny spells to come for much of the United Kingdom. Just a scattering of light showers are possible across central and southern England. A fine evening with some late sunshine for most areas. Overnight light rain will move into the north of Scotland and perhaps Cornwall. Warmer today with highs of 18 to 22C.
Wednesday
Patchy, light rain and drizzle across south west England in the morning is to become heavier and more persistent in the afternoon as it moves into Wales and pats of Northern Ireland. For the rest of Britain it's a dry day with the best of the sunshine towards the east. Eventually the rain spreads eastward into all areas through the course of the evening and night. Highs of 16 to 21C.
