Friday
Dry and sunny across south west England this morning. An area of very heavy, thundery rain will be across Wales and much of central and southern England. Rainfall amounts of 25-50mm are possible and may produce local flooding across central England and parts of Wales. Patchy rain will affect Scotland this morning with a few showers across Northern Ireland. In the afternoon the area of heavy rain will not be quite as heavy in the afternoon and will persist across Wales and central parts of England reaching parts of northern England adding to the flooding risk. To the south it's sunnier with a few showers and to the north expect more cloud and some light rain or showers. A cold day with maximums of 14C for Edinburgh, 14C for Birmingham and 18C for London.
Friday Night
Dry across East Anglia and the far south of England this evening and tonight. The rest of England and Wales will remain wet with spells of moderate to heavy rain. Overnight light rain also moves into southern Scotland with northern Scotland and Northern Ireland mainly dry. Lows of 10 to 12C.
Saturday
Bright across the south of England and East Anglia with the odd shower this morning. Dry but cloudy for Northern Ireland and the far north of Scotland. The rest of Britain will be overcast with rain. Little change then into the afternoon with most areas cloudy and wet with spells of rain and a few showers in the south of England. Another cold day to come. Overnight the heavier rain becomes confined to eastern Scotland. Highs of 12 to 18C.
Sunday
Brighter this morning with some sunshine and a scattering of light showers across Britain. The afternoon once again sees the showers becoming more widespread and heavy though it looks mainly dry in the south east of England and more persistent rain may edge into The West Country. Light rain is expected to spread up in southern and central parts of England this evening and tonight. 16 to 22C.
